The provincial Water Security Agency released it's 2015 conditions at freeze up report Thursday.

This report updates the outlook on water supply conditions for the late Autumn-early Winter time frame. This will help provide interested stakeholders with a better understanding of the conditions in preparation of the 2016 Spring runoff.

Most of the province is being reported as having normal moisture conditions except for the east-central region. Some pockets in the Humboldt area are reported to have higher than normal levels.

While Spring and early Summer precipitation was well below normal across much of the province, above normal late summer and fall precipitation resulted in near normal precipitation accumulations across most of Saskatchewan between April 1st and October 31st.

The WSA is cautiously optimistic the normal levels should stay with help of below normal precipitation levels predicted for this Winter.

The WSA adds in their news release that was issued Thursday that they have seen groundwater levels have continued to increase since 2010.

The initial Spring Runoff Outlook for 2016 will be issued in early February.
