The Humboldt Community Gathering Place once again catered to the local area by providing many sights and sounds through 2019.

Performances throughout the year include Larry Krause, the Amundson family, Saltwater Joy, the Pipestone Men's Choir, Country Blend, Graham Dyck and folk star Valdy.

"Valdy left a message and said he really enjoyed coming to Humboldt and wanted to do it again next year, so you never know," said Glenda Fry with the Gathering Place.

The Gathering Place officially took form under that name in 2015. Since then, they've seen a gradual increase in usage, shaping into the staple it is today in the community.

"The way I look at is like anyone starting a news business, it's going to take a while. Finding what your flavour is, what your personality is, what you really have to offer, and then getting that information out to the community, because if they dont know, they can't choose. The bottom line is keeping the doors open, keeping the building in operation, and then providing reasons for the community to gather."

The Community Gathering Place will continue into 2020 with concerts and events while they look to cater to individuals of all ages.
