The past year marked a continuing building block for the Humboldt Theatre Club.

Since revamping the former club in 2015, the group put on their third production in 2017, according to Producer Sarah Miller, who says that they also wanted to help give back.

"We decided that we would look at different organizations we could partner with to do more of a non-profit and outreach to different organizations in the community."

Miller says that they also partnered with the Community Gathering Place in the past, but are looking at a different venue for the future to help accommodate space.

In 2018, the group is aiming to reach even higher in regards to their set-up.

"Our big production we will be doing is going to be quite huge. We'll be putting on a large production in February. It's going to be a dinner style production."

Miller noted that the February play will be The Golden Fleecing.

"It's a Western style, which is something very different from what we have done before."

Another idea that has been bounced around with the club is to join together with others in the community to have a central destination for ticketing.

"We branched out to other organizations and are hoping to get towards doing a box office sort of thing in Humboldt, where tickets can be sold for various events."

Miller says if it came to fruition it would help attendees to access tickets for events in one spot.
