As of August 9th, there are 15 new confirmed cases of COVID-19.
The new cases are located:

  • North West area with one
  • Saskatoon area with one
  • Central West with one
  • Regina with five
  • South West with 3
  • South Central with 3
  • One case has residence information pending

1,445 cases are confirmed and 168 are considered active.

206 of cases are travel-related, 720 are either contacts or linked to a mass gathering event, 389 have no known exposures and 9% 130 are under investigation by local public health. A total of 13 individuals are hospitalized; including seven inpatient hospitalizations and six ICU hospitalizations.
20 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died. Saskatchewan now has a fatality rate of 1.4%.
A total of 1,257 individuals have recovered 87.0%.
111,748 COVID-19 tests have been performed in Saskatchewan.As of August 7, 2020 when other provincial and national numbers are available from PHAC, Saskatchewan’s per capita rate was 80,706 people tested per million population. The national rate was 117,162 people tested per million population.
