Humboldt Collegiate Institute was the site of districts in the Horizon Central Athletic Association, as the provincial badminton field was narrowed down another step.

Ten individuals or teams will represent the division at regionals, which will also take place at HCI.

In Boys Singles, Darian Sunshine of Wadena and Cael Zimmerman out of Englefeld were the top two qualifiers. For Girls Singles, it was Megan Farrell of Foam Lake and MacKenzie Dobrohoczki from Middle Lake.

Mixed Doubles saw Remington Rohel and Ashley Blechinger advance, along with Jeremy Junk and Brooke Johnson. Both teams are from Annaheim.

Humboldt's Erik Gardiner and Simon Ford were the top qualifiers in Boys Doubles, with Lusanda Koyana and Emilio Mseleni from Annaheim in second.

For Girls Doubles, Bing Bing Zhang and Payton Zimmerman out of Englefeld came in first, but it will be Morgan Mann and Kelsey Bentz out of Raymore as well as Kaitlin Schultz and Megan Gale from Kelvington representing at regionals.

Regionals will be played on Saturday, with the top two finishers in each category advancing to the provincial finals in Humboldt on May 14.
