January is Mentoring Month with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Humboldt, and with that, the organization would like to challenge everyone this month.

“We would like to challenge everybody in Humboldt to help us lower the numbers on our waitlist this year, we want to put a big push out for that. We understand that not everybody has the capacity and the time to be a mentor, but we challenge you to think about somebody that you know who may be a great mentor and send them our way,” stated Tammy Ruedig, Program Support / Development Coordinator. “It’s really not that huge of a commitment, but it can make a huge difference in the lives of our local youths.”

Big Brothers Big Sisters is also preparing for their next big project, their annual Bowl for Kids' Sake event.

“Bowl For Kids' Sake is coming up in February as always, it’s a fun event that we really look forward to hosting every year. Again, it’s at Kemway Lanes, it will run February 5 - 9th, so stay tuned to our social media for more details to come on that.”
