As tightly contested of a playoff game as you could imagine, but the Broncos couldn’t find a bounce, losing 1-0 to the Bombers on Friday night. The Broncos are now one game away from elimination and trail the Bombers 3-0 in the best-of-seven series.

The Humboldt Broncos and Flin Flon Bombers met on Friday, April 8th in northern Manitoba for Game 3 of their SJHL Semi Final playoff series. Through 60 minutes of tightly contested action, only one goal was needed to win.

Matt Raymond scored the lone goal on a two-on-one odd man rush, taking a pass from Jacob Vockler before beating Rayce Ramsay 14 minutes into the first period.

Evidently, that was all that was needed.

Cal Schell picked up his first postseason shutout stopping 33 Humboldt shots.

Rayce Ramsay was just as impressive for the Broncos, turning aside 37 of 38.

The Broncos must win 4 straight games to advance to the SJHL Finals.

They will first try to stave off elimination in Game 4 on Saturday.
