The Humboldt Broncos put on a show at the Showcase yesterday and they turned on the jets to a 7-0 victory over the La Ronge Ice Wolves. The game highlighted some of Humboldt’s top scorers along with outstanding efforts across the lines.

The party got started halfway through the first when Jeter Korte beat the Ice Wolves Karl Soneff for the opener. Just a couple minutes later, Spencer Bell stunned the Wolves on a quick shorthanded turnaround to log the second goal and his first of two.

Inside the four-minute mark of the second, Travis Bryson scored his 8th of the season with assists from Bell and Connor Miller. Bell was back for more at the 8-minute mark with some help from Ben Costantino and Chase Cooke.

Connor Miller picked up his season second while Richmond, BC’s Dylan Nazareth tagged his first as a Bronco in the Horsemen’s domination of the third. Sharpshooter Matthew Van Blaricom rounded out the scoring halfway through the third as the Broncos cruised to victory.

Aidan Fischer got the shutout, turning aside all 28 shots.

The Broncos are back on the ice in the Legends Arena this morning, facing the Melville Millionaires for the first time this season.
