A special musical guest is set to perform at a first ever music venue just outside of Humboldt. The clubhouse at the Carlton Trail Ski Club will be the site of a house concert featuring country / roots artist Amanda Hagel. She’s a singer / songwriter from Saskatoon who has made previous appearances in Humboldt. She’ll return on Monday, April 3.

It should be a quaint and intimate evening,” says Brian Grest with the Club and one of the concert organizers. “I first saw her at a house concert in Humboldt. Three years ago for the Summer Sizzler kickoff, Arts Humboldt brought her out for the concert in the park.”

Originally from a musical home near the west Saskatchewan farming community of Lancer, Amanda says she had no end of musical influences to help hone her talents. Her entry album, entitled simply Rush, captures her rich voice and her inspired lyrics, taking the listener on a musical roller coaster.

Her current video for the single These Roots is playing on the Heartland Network. You can watch the video and hear select songs on her website. Amanda will be performing solo at the Carlton Trail Ski Clubhouse located near Dixon, east of Humboldt.

Those wishing to attend will be put on a guest list by contacting Brian Grest at (306) 231-8284 or by requesting to attend through the Club’s email at carltontrailskiclub@gmail.com. Directions to the club house site will be forwarded to registered guests. Attendance costs $20 with all the proceeds going to the Ski Club for trail maintenance and equipment.
