There’s a chance for local business owners and managers to get together, socialize and network in a relaxed atmosphere courtesy of the Humboldt and District Chamber of Commerce. The Business After Business Networking Event happens on Wednesday, February 28 from 5 – 8 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Lounge in Humboldt.

It’s a chance for Chamber members to get together and compare notes, but it’s also a great opportunity for new or established businesses who are not yet members to find out more about the many benefits of becoming a Chamber member.

“This event is open to everyone in the business community,” says Sarah McInnis, director of the Humboldt and District Chamber of Commerce. “Come on out and socialize with other business people in a fun and casual environment.”

A recent survey of its membership indicated that local business owners were anxious to return to informal gathering and sharing sessions that waned during the days of pandemic restrictions. As the Chamber enters its latest strategic planning endeavours, a key ingredient is encouraging an exchange of information and cooperation that strengthens the city and regional economy as a whole.

It’s also a chance for startup owners or potential entrepreneurs to get the lay of the land.

“It’s great to pick the brains of local business owners,” says McInnis about the networking event. “It’s a way that we can support entrepreneurs who want to start a business in the area.”

Once those connections are established, the Chamber can assist new owners with details like securing business licenses, connecting with insurance vendors and reviewing tax considerations.

To top it off, there will be fun with an energetic and dynamic set of owners, managers, and key influencers in local business. For more details, contact the Humboldt and District Chamber of Commerce office.
