The Humboldt and District Museum and Art Gallery will be hosting their annual Festival of Wreaths starting November 13th.

The Friends of the Museum are looking for donations which can be dropped off at the museum by this Saturday to be included in the promotional material but they will accept items after this weekend.

Museum Supervisor Jean Price said this is a big event for them.

"This is our 16th year doing the festival of wreaths, it's run by the Friends of the Museum and Gallery and it's one of their main fundraisers throughout the year that provides funding for all sorts of programs that we do, concerts, kids programs, school programs, all of that kind of thing that we do throughout the year."

Price explained the items they would like donated to be auctioned off, "we accept donations of wreaths, or trees, or swag, or center pieces that are traditional things like that but we're also looking for things like gift certificates or homemade items, homemade food was really popular last year, or gift baskets or anything you thing people might be interested in bidding on."

Items can be bid on throughout the three weeks of the festival and then there will be a live auction on December 3rd.
