A big baseball weekend for local teams. The East Central 18u AAA Dodgers split their double header on Sunday against the South East Twins. The Sox took the opener 5-2 but dropped the second game 13-7. In the opener, Marek Yeager opened the scoring when he doubled on a 3-0 count, and Adam Korte rocked a solo homer in the third. They're in Saskatoon tomorrow night to face the Diamondbacks.

The 18U Muenster Red Sox faced tough opposition in the South East dropping a pair to the Weyburn beavers and following up with a double header against a tough Estevan Brewers squad who took both Sunday games. This Saturday the Sox will be back home to face the Moose Jaw Canucks.

Meanwhile the 15UAAA Dodgers went one up one down against the Regina Wolfpack in an impromptu home game, moved to Muenster due to field conditions in the Queen City. Next action is back home at James Korte field on Saturday as the South East A's come to town.

And the Marysburg Royals pulled off a pair of wins against the Saskatoon Outlaws on home soil. The Royals opened with a commanding 14-1 victory. In the second game, Thomas Lessmeister took control of the mound with a full game two hitter. The Royals face the Hoppers this Wednesday night in Saskatoon.
