Happy Groundhog Day! Today we throw out modern weather predictors. We tell meterologists to take a hike. Because today we ask the largest member of the squirrel family whether or not we are going to see an early end to winter. On Groundhog Day if the groundhog emerges from its dwelling and sees his shadow winter will last another six weeks. If the groundhog does not see its shadow then spring will arrive early.
