The results are in from the HCAA Track & Field District Championship held on Tuesday, May 28 at the Gordie Howe Sports Complex in Saskatoon.  

Almost 700 athletes took part in 5 age groups. The combined school finishes as of Tuesday have HCI in top spot with Wynyard Comp taking second and Strasbourg tallying third. 

Ten new marks were established, with Holdfast’s Hailee Woodhouse leading the way with four new records.  

Following Tuesday’s meet, Woodhouse walked away as the new record holder in the Junior Girls category for 100m (12.39), 200m (25.55), 400m (57.92) along with the long jump (5.09m).  

Watrous Jemar Brockman became the record holder in Senior Boys Triple Jump (13.03m).  

Sarah Loehr of Muenster set a new mark in Javelin (35.84).  

Kaylee Bernhard became the record holder in Bantam Girls 80m hurdles (13.05). 

In the Peewee Boys category, Garrett Rohs from Rose Valley became the new all-time leader in 3000m (11:17:44).  

Reilly Huisman from Watrous led the way in Shot Put (3 kg 2016+) in Peewee Girls. 

And rounding the 2024 record breakers was the Strasbourg Peewee Girls 4x100m relay squad (59.33).  

The top two finishers in the Intermediate, Junior, and Senior categories in each of their events have qualified to take part in the SHSAA Provincial Track and Field Championship next Friday and Saturday in Saskatoon. 

Pole vault in Intermediate and Senior Girls has yet to be completed.
