The Horizon School Division will be well represented at this year's Badminton Provincials.

For the regional competition, it was a straight round robin format, with the top two records advancing to the provincial championships.

In Boys Doubles, the Annaheim team of Lusanda Koyana and Emilio Mseleni qualified first out of a three way tiebreaker with a 4-1 record. They can't attend provincials however, so the Humboldt team of Erik Gardiner and Simon Ford will take their place along with a team from Melfort.

Mixed Doubles saw Annaheim's Remington Rohel and Ashley Blechinger go a perfect 5-0 in round robin, punching their ticket to Provincials.

Wadena's Darian Sunshine qualified for Provincials with a 4-1 record in Boys Singles, as well as Foam Lake's Megan Farrell who finished with a perfect 5-0 record in Girls Singles.

Girls Doubles will see Naicam's Jenelle Sunderland and Karly Dawson earn a trip to Provincials with a 4-1 round robin record. Naicam is a member of the North East School Division.

Provincials will be held Saturday, May 14, here in Humboldt.
