Irene Elizabeth Wourms (née Ehalt)
April 3, 1933 – November 5, 2023

It is with great sadness to announce of Irene Elizabeth Wourms (née Ehalt) peaceful passing on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at 90 years of age. She was born on April 3, 1933, to Alois and Theresa (née Ebert) Ehalt of Annaheim, SK, and attended Annaheim School. Irene married Urban Wourms on October 20, 1952, in Annaheim, SK. Irene was a homemaker for their six children. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, and playing cards. Irene will be lovingly remembered by her six children and their families - daughter, Rose Ann (Bill) Theis of St. Brieux, SK, and family: Tammy (Rob) Cameron, Darren (Trish) Theis, and Sara Theis (Chris Miller); son, Doug(Corinne) Wourms of Humboldt, SK, and their family: Jill (Scott) Golding, Warren (Lisa) Wourms, Ramie Wourms; son, Desmond (Cheryl) Wourms of Yellowknife, NWT, and family: Adam Wourms, Nicole Wourms, and Brittany Wourms (Dylan Coumont); son, Clayton Wourms of Humboldt, SK, and family: Cody (Brooke) Wourms, and Carson Wourms; son, Michael (Tana) Wourms of Moose Jaw, SK, and family: Brock Wourms Rowe, and Ben Wourms Rowe; son, Ryan (Nancy) Wourms of Watrous, SK, and their son: Brody Wourms; 14 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her in-laws: Melvin, Emil, Louis (Judy), Mary (Johnny) Eischen, Lorna (Ted) Mosley, all from BC. She was predeceased by her husband Urban; parents, Alois and Theresa; brothers: Clarence and Eddie; sisters: Margaret, Dolores, Viola, and Sal; nine brothers-in-law: Gilbert, Frank, John, Ben, Alfred, Ted, Leonard, Clemens and Allan; three sisters in-law: Lorraine Wourms, Virginia Jones, and Erma Harrison; four sisters-in-law: Alice, Bernice, Jewel, and Yvonne Wourms. A Private Funeral Service was held at Schuler – Lefebvre Funeral Chapel on Friday, November 10,2023, at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Colin Roy presiding. Others taking part were:Brock Wourms Rowe and Cody Wourms, scripture readers; Jill Golding, intentions; Haley Therres, Sidney Cameron and Brody Wourms, memorial table attendants; Rose Ann Theis, urn bearer; and “All those who shared in Irene’s life”, honorary pallbearers. The memorial lunch followed at St. Augustine Parish Hall, Humboldt, SK. Interment will take place at a later date. Donations may be directed to St. Mary’s Villa Foundation (P.O.
