The opening of the Riverhurst Ferry will be delayed into June this year as it undergoes repairs.

According to the Ministry of Highways, the ferry underwent a Transport Canada inspection last fall and repairs were ordered to ensure it operates safely.

The ferry typically begins operating in early spring. However, the Ministry of Highways is anticipating that the repairs could take time and the ferry is not expected to be operational until the end of June.

Ferry users are asked to adjust their travel routes while the ferry is out of service.
