An eclectic mix of music is just what you'll hear when you find yourself in a twelve-seater van full of radio station folks.

On the way to our Christmas party this year, I discovered our varied tastes in music are as different as our assorted personalities. You can find out a lot more about a person by learning what music they keep on their own playlists, and I definitely got to know my co-workers a bit better that night.

Our Bolt FM staff had given Sarah Miller a few suggestions of tracks they'd like to hear on our rather long trip to they party. We heard everything from the Backstreet Boys to Garth Brooks, to the Cranberries to Wheatus' Teenage Dirtbag.

Due to amazing technology these days, Sarah was placed in a role very familiar to her for the evening: disc jockey...spinning the tunes for her co-workers via Blutooth. Before the trip, I had no idea that Ashley was a Backstreet Boys mega fan or that Sarah and I have a shared passion for the Grease soundtrack or the extent of Jonathan's prog and funk sensibilities (i.e. Pimps of Joytime - Dank Jank, Lionize - Dream Wizards, The Mars Volta - Goliath).

Suffice it to say, when you get a bunch of radio people together for a rockin' road trip, you never know what you'll hear next!
