You'll want to take a bit more time on Humboldt area highways this morning.

A band of snow moving eastward along the Yellowhead and the near melting temperatures have combined for perfect conditions to stick to the roads and create a glaze of ice for the morning drive.

Rising temperatures through the day and traffic through the morning should lead to gradual improvement in road conditions, but for early morning commuters, be aware that winter driving conditions are in effect on Highway 5 east and west and highways 20 and 368.

Another 2 cm of snow is expected through Wednesday tapering off near midnight tonight.
