The showdown of the century occurred Sunday night as Humboldt's Special Olympics soccer squad suited up against us here at Bolt FM.

Admittedly, I haven't exactly sharpened my soccer skills since I last played as a young lad about 15 years ago.

The rules, apparently, have changed too, or perhaps my memory is foggy.

Body checks aren't allowed, and neither is using your hands to knock the ball into the net, and the basketball nets above the playing surface don't count for two points when you get the ball in.

Nonetheless, it was the Special Olympics team evening up the all-time series with an 8-7 overtime victory thanks to our swiss cheese replicated defensive unit.
