The U18AA Broncos hit the ice Friday night at the EPA as they took on the team from Northeast. The Broncos found themselves in a hole early as Northeast took a 3-0 lead into the first period break.

Ty Sundholm and Tyler Gudjonson scored to bring the Broncos to within one goal but Northeast would make it 4-2 after two periods.

In the third period, Sundholm would score a short handed goal to once again cut the lead to one but Northeast replied one minute later to regain their two goal lead. Sundholm made it 5-4, and Michael Burechailo would score on the powerplay to tie the game 5-5. The Broncos completed their comeback in overtime as Sundholm netted his fourth goal of the game for a 6-5 Broncos win. Hunter Nakonechny started the game but had to leave after the second period due to injury. Bradley Ries entered into the game in the third period to earn the win for the Broncos.

On Sunday, the Broncos travelled to Warman to take on the Wildcats. Once again the Broncos found themselves in jeopardy early as Warman grabbed a 2-0 lead just one minute into the game. Matthew Porter got the Broncos on the board halfway through the period. Warman upped the ante to 3-1, but Tyler Gudjonson and Hadley Nakonechny would score to tie the game up at 3 apiece after one period.

Warman took a single point lead again to go up 4-3 in the second period. Sean Brochu tied the game up once again, but that would prove to be the final goal for the Broncos. Warman would go on to score 3 more goals in the second period and one in the third period to skate away with an 8-4 win. Bradley Ries faced 40 shots in net for the Broncos.

The Broncos will wrap up their regular season this week with three games remaining. Thursday night the Saskatoon Screaming Eagles will be in Humboldt, Saturday the team will travel to Shellbrook to take on the Parkland Elks, and their final game of the regular season will see the team take on the Saskatoon Icehawks at the EPA on Sunday. After this weekend's action, the Broncos find themselves in the eighth and final playoff spot in the Centre Four standings. They have clinched a spot in the playoffs which will begin February 21.
