The snow has melted in Humboldt and it appears that spring has finally arrived after a long and cold winter, so it's the perfect time to go out on the Wildlife Trail.

The wildlife trail is a bit of a hidden gem in Humboldt, as many people don't know that it exists.

It's the perfect way to enjoy the warm weather. You can walk, run, bike, and bring your pets too.

Thursday night was the first time in a while that I was able to go for a run down the trail, as the piled up snow was non-existent. It was also the first time in six months I didn't have to wear a coat.

But I wasn't alone in my run. Every Thursday night at 6:30 and Saturday morning at 7:30, the Humboldt Running club gets together.

If you're new to the trail, why not join us on one of our runs? All skill levels are welcome, and if running isn't your thing, feel free to just walk.

Check them out on Facebook.

The wildlife trail is located off Peck Road just south of the railroad tracks.
