Hey People!

My name is Avery LeBlanc, I'm your afternoon news guy on 107.5 Bolt FM. I've been living in Humboldt for about 4 months now and I enjoy my new job at Bolt Fm. I've learned so much in so little time and have made some memories with the staff at the station, which I am happy to call my friends now.

I lived on a farm just 10 minutes from Wakaw, Saskatchewan which is about an hour north of Humboldt. Before getting my job I came to Humboldt for sports and high school trips, but never actually knew anyone from Humboldt. In my 4 months being here, I have met so many people, seen so many new faces, and talked with so many new people over the phone for interviews and information to get stories out to the people of the city.

Now here is one of the hardest parts about the job. I talk to at least 2 people on the phone and meet 1 in person per day. I'm sure I can trust your math skills to add that up to 3 per day, and that's just the minimum! So over the months I have met a lot of people, seen a lot of the faces and heard a lot of names that eventually leave my mind by the end of the day....this is where it gets embarrassing.

I have had people come up to me and say,

"Hey, Avery! how are you? haven't spoken to you since May."

While they say hello and ask me how I'm doing, I am simply thinking to myself,

"Who are you?"

So it results in me having to tell the person I don't know who they are. So I'm going to apologize in advance for the fact that if I talk to you on the phone or in person and if I forget who you are when we meet again.

Despite my forgetfulness, I am truly looking forward to meeting more people during my time in Humboldt. I also send thanks for the warm welcome and I hope to keep doing the news for you people for many days to come!

Thanks for reading and good day!
