Humboldt Public School Grade 7 students took a moment from their studies to honour veterans as part of the No Stone Left Alone Memorial. The event took place at the Humboldt Community Cemetery on November 4. Designed to coincide with the 11th-hour observance, the gathering took place from 10:45 - 11:30 on Monday, November 4. 

John Wilkinson from the No Stone Left Alone Memorial Foundation provided opening remarks. O Canada was led by Maxine Morre followed by a student recitation of In Flanders Fields and a commitment to remember in English and French.

Bugler Thelma Pearce performed the Last Post immediately prior to the two minutes of silence. Piper Tyler Shaw played the Lament, and Niki Sokolan, President of the Humboldt Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion conducted the Act of Remembrance.

Following Reveille, Reverend Al Hingley led the Prayer of Remembrance followed by the laying of the wreaths on behalf of the Governments of Canada and Saskatchewan, the City of Humboldt, the Humboldt Legion, and the Horizon School Division.

Former HPS Principal Dave Hill read greetings issued by MP Kelly Block, and Mayor Rob Muench brought greetings from the City of Humboldt. 

The event wrapped up with the official placing of the poppies by the members of the Grade 7 class. This was the first-ever No Stone Left Alone service in Humboldt.
