The Saskatchewan Liberal Party doesn't have a seat in the provincial legislature but they are hoping a full slate of candidates for Monday's election can help change that.

The party, led by Darrin Lamoureux intends to keep building a strong and diversified economy, support sustainable communities, bring leadership to health care, implement fair and efficient government as well as making education work for everyone.

During the Humboldt and District Chamber of Commerce's candidates forum held on March 22nd for the Humboldt-Watrous riding, Robert Tutka put his best foot forward for the party as he makes his first foray into the political ring.

The candidates were all asked a mixture of questions, some pre-empted, others from the floor. We captured Tutka's responses.

1) What are your views on infrastructure spending?

2) What is the main issue for this riding?

3)What would you do to help young farmers have access to farm land?

4) What portfolio would you choose if you were elected and given a ministry to lead?

5) What are your thoughts on the privatization of the crown corporations?

6) What do you feel about LEAN?

7) What are your thoughts on passing lanes on Saskatchewan's highways?

8) Where do you feel the money will come from to continue to spend and move Saskatchewan forward?

Other candidates running in the east-central region for the Liberals are Bruce Ber in the Melfort riding; Bernie Yuzdepski is running in the Kelvington-Wadena constituency; Graham Tweten is hoping to be elected in Batoche; in Arm River Russ Collicott is vying for a seat; in the new riding of Saskatoon-Stonebridge-Dakota Kevin ber will let his name stand.
