A weekend full of reuinting and coming home ends Sunday for the village of Quill Lake.

The 2016 Homecoming weekend wraps up this evening with a fireworks show scheduled at dusk.

Linda Ingram is the Head of the Homecoming Committee.

She talks about the amount of support from the community.

"We've had a wonderful group of volunteers that have been meeting for the passed year. Then coming on to this weekend, we've had people that are returning home to the Homecoming step up and take so many of the jobs, it's just been so overwhelming."

Ingram describes how important this weekend is for the people of Quill Lake.

"Any Homecopming bringing people back to your community is so important. It keeps your connection to home, and that's all we've been hearing all weekend, was how wonderful it was to come back to Quill Lake and to meet up with Family and Friends, it's just wonderful." 

The Homecoming will see the slo-pitch tournament wrapping up, as well as the Horseshoe tournament taking placealong with children's activities.

Approximately 2 thousand people have attended festivities for the 2016 Quill Lake Homecoming.
