The 18U AAA East Central Red Sox walked away very successful this weekend, ending their first game on Saturday, July 9, at a 13 - 3 win.

The Red Sox’s first game saw them take on the Moose Jaw Canucks, with Dylan Smith giving them a run for their money. Smith scored four hits in the 13 - 3 victory, singling in the third, fourth, fifth and sixth.

The Canucks scored three runs in the fifth inning but could not keep up with the speed of the Red Sox.

The Canucks were looking for revenge but could not find it in the rematch, losing to the Dodgers again in a 2 - 0 loss.

The Canucks raised their defence, but it was not enough. Red Sox’s Merek Yeager also raised the stakes, striking out 11, while the Canucks’ Nathan Varjassy only sat down 4.

The next game for the Red Sox will take place Wednesday, July 13, when they take on the Saskatoon Giants at Cairns Field.

The 18U AA Muenster Red Sox then took over the field, playing two games on Sunday, July 10.

The first game for the 18U AA team saw them take on the North Battleford Beavers. The Red Sox took the lead in the late game, ending it at an 8 - 5 victory.

The game was tied at five but saw the Muenster Red Sox batting in the bottom of the fifth when an error scored two runs for the Red Sox.

The second game would not end as well for the Red sox against the Beavers, ending in an 11 - 4 loss.

The Beavers entered the game with some new strategies and took the early lead on the Red Sox, not giving any room for the Red Sox to snatch the win away from them.

The 18U AA Red Sox’s next game will take place Tuesday, July 12, when they take on the Unity Cardinals at Marysburg.
