Three of the five local 6-man football teams moved on to the Provincial Quarter-Finals on Saturday.

The Viscount Vikings pulled off an impressive performance against the Hanley Sabers with a score of 80-50. The Vikings will be taking on the 1-A Conference champion next weekend.

As for the Watrous Wildcats, they showed why they were the first-place team in their conference after defeating Assiniboia 53-0. Watrous will face the 2-A Conference runner up on Saturday.

Also, the Wynyard Golden Bears had a close game with the Lanigan Lazers with a final score of 55-42. Wynyard Will move on to do battle with 2-A Conference champion. Lanigan season is now over and will look to bounce back next season.

Finally, the Wakaw Warriors had an unfortunate end to their season on Saturday night. The Warriors lost by a score of 46-45 to the Birch Hills Marauders as a last-second touchdown would seal the deal for the visitors. Wakaw will be back much stronger next season.
