It was non-stop baseball action for the Richardson Pioneer Fastball League.
The league was busy to tune of nine games through May 24th - 26th.

Friday, May 24th in Foam Lake
Wynyard Blues tie Foam Lake Merchants 4 - 4
On a beautiful evening for ball, the Blues and Merchants battled to a 4-4 tie. Pitchers Ryan Junop and Michael Jordan both kept the opposition in check. Brennan Hack had a great game for the Merchants going 3/4 and was matched by Wynyard's Drew Litwin's 3/4 outing.

Saturday, May 25th Double Header in Wynyard:
Rosebud Royals def. Wynyard Blues 6 - 3
With Tony Sparvier getting the start for the Royals and Kevin Young on the mound for the Blues, it was a close battle through five innings. The Royals picked up three runs in the 6th to go up by one and Lance Holowaty had a clutch 2 RBI double with the bases loaded in the top of the 7th for some insurance that capped off the 6-3 win.

Rosebud Royals def. Wynyard Blues 10 - 8
Wynyard jumped out to an early lead on starting Royal's pitcher James Holowaty. The Royals battled back to an 8-7 score after 5 when they brought in Tony Sparvier who shut the door. The Royals scored one in the 6th, and Bradyn Melrose hit a 2 run walk-off home run in the bottom of the 7th for the win 10-8.

The League held six interconference games in Sheho on Sunday, May 26th.
Wynyard Blues tied Rhein Rockets 2 - 2
It was a pitchers duel from the onset between Wynyard's Kevin Young and Rhein's Justice Keshane. Rhein was only able to scratch four hits off of Young, with one of those being a two-run home run off the bat of Even Neibrandt. The Blues battled back to tie the game with strong offence from Michael Jordan who had three doubles and a walk. The Blues were able to load the bases in the bottom of the 7th but unable to score for the win.

Rosebud Royals def. Balcarres Broncs 6 - 3
The Royals gave up three runs on the first three batters before Royal's pitcher Sparvier settled in and shut the door for the rest of the game. The Royals batters chipped away with no more than two runs an inning for a 6-3 win.

Wynyard Blues def. Balcarres Broncs 12 - 1
This game remained scoreless into the 3rd inning when the Wynyard bats woke up in a big way, sending ten batters up while scoring seven runs. The Blues had four home runs by Josh Jordan, Adam Jordan, Jordy Karakochuk and Dylan Shewchuck. Mike Jordan was on the rubber for the Blues surrendering just one run and three hits over five innings.

Derien Cote pitched in relief for Balcarres
Fishing Lake Cubs def. Da Boyz 12 - 2
A close 2-2 battle midway through was broken open with a big inning by Fishing Lake en-route to a 12-2 victory.

Rhein Rockets def. Fishing Lake Cubs 21 - 1
The Rockets broke it open in the 3rd with five runs, and another big inning in the 6th to take over the game and the Cubs bats struggling.

Rosebud Royals def. Da Boyz 7 - 2
The Royals bats kept rolling in their fourth game of the weekend, racking up seven runs off Da Boyz thrower Francis Bird. Da Boyz got both their runs in the first off pitcher Tony Sparvier who gave up the mound after on inning with some discomfort. James Holowaty took over and shut out Da Boyz for six innings.

The League will continue play on Tuesday, May 28th. Two games will take place featuring the Fishing Lake Cubs and Rosebud Royals, as well as the Foam Lake Merchants taking on the Wynyard Blues.
