This time of year the Humboldt SPCA is looking for individuals and families to help out by fostering a pet over the holiday period. If people are unsure about adoption, fostering is a great way to see about a furever match, and it relieves the burden on SPCA staff and volunteers over the holidays.

SPCA's Janice Weber explains the process.

“You just stop down at the SPCA and fill out a foster form. Then, I look it over and we set you up with the proper dog, the one that fits you the best. We’ve got lots of cats that still need foster homes.”

It’s as easy as clicking on the Humboldt SPCA website and taking a look at all the wonderful animals available for adoption. As Weber states, the staff and volunteers are there to help find a match. The SPCA is always looking for donations of cat litter, food, supplies, and cash to provide for vet costs. Stop in for a visit and see who is waiting for you.
