Members of the Saskatchewan Rush lacrosse team dropped by for a visit to the Humboldt Community Soup Kitchen space on Thursday, February 24. The Rush stopped by to help out at the Pantry and Clothing Day held for Soup Kitchen clients at the Westminster United Church.

Kari Cenciosi with the Soup Kitchen says the Rush organization reached out to help as part of their support initiatives.

“They said they like to get out into the communities. They’re aware that a lot of local people go to see their games,” said Cenciosi. The Rush have now joined the Broncos in supporting the Soup Kitchen in their programming.

Kari reminds everyone that there are vulnerable people in Humboldt’s population, and that donations and volunteers for the Soup Kitchen are always welcome. You can get in touch at (306) 360-7888 or at humboldtsoupkitchen@gmail.com.
