Deciding what to pursue after graduating from high school can be a daunting task.

On Saturday, February 1 at 12:30 PM, St. Peter's College held the second open house of the school year. Students potentially bound for St. Peter's College and the University of Saskatchewan gather to review available programs at the post-secondary facility.

"It's incredibly important for students and parents because a lot of things that need to happen for the transition to university have to happen during the summer. That is usually when you've graduated and your career counsellor isn't there and the finances are important as well," said Matthew Washkowski, student services officer at St. Peter's College.

Students could either register beforehand or walk in the day of the open house to get an idea of what classes are available, what credits are required to enroll, and how to access education funding. An open house also gives students an opportunity to prepare for post-secondary and also helps students find out what career it is they want to pursue.

"It's a high calibre school in a small community which makes St. Peters so intriguing to students in North-Eastern Saskatchewan. It allows students to stay home with family and save a bit of money," said  Krystal Shutko, student service advisor at St. Peter's College.

This is the last open house of the academic year at St. Peter's College.
