The East Central AAA 18U Red Sox took a firm hand at the plate coming up with a commanding 12-0 win against the Saskatoon Diamondbacks in last night's SPBL action.

Cade Britz led the way for the Red Sox going 3 for 3 at the plate with a double and a pair of singles. Pryor Dyck matched Britz’s three-hit night.

A host of other Sox hitters got in on the action, many in the opening inning where the Red Sox tallied ten runs. Cade Armstrong brought in a run on his single, as did Gradyn Wilson, Ryder Knittig, Pryor Dyck, and Cam Marshak. Another run came in on an error, and Jarret Rude belted a double to bring a pair across the plate.

Marek Yeager was the winning pitcher giving up 5 hits and no runs, striking out nine batters. Next action for the Red Sox is at home on Thursday. Start time at James Korte field in Muenster is 6:30 pm.
