The 2A Provincial Football semi-final, previously slated for November 5 went yesterday in Wynyard.

The Wakaw Warriors came out of the gate strong, taking a 30-22 lead into the half-time break. The Warriors didn't let up, posting 22 third quarter points and shutting
down the Wynyard Bears offense. Both teams put up 8 points in the last quarter, but it was too little too late for the Bears as the Warriors wrapped up a 60-30 victory.
Wakaw's success was led by the one-two punch of QB Griffin LeBlanc and the rushing of Trevor Regush, named the Pepper Tree Player of the Game.

Kindersley is scheduled to travel to Wynyard for a bronze medal game but the logistics of actually playing this game is still up for debate, says Bears Coach Morris Sokul.  An update on the decision will follow at a later date.

Wakaw will travel to Clavet for the provincial final.
