The Horizon Central Athletic Association held their Spring Meeting on April. 20th.

During the meeting individuals were recognized for their outstanding contributions to the schools athletics programs.

Brian Hinz from Humboldt Collegiate, Audrey Severson from LeRoy, Barry Marquette from Kelvington, Beatrice Weigel from Quill Lake, Matt Tan from Watrous, Kyle Lishchynsky from Strasbourg, Ken Koenig from Nokomis and Reid Lozinski from Wynyard were all recipients of the award.

Brian coaches and is the defensive coordinator of the HCI football program, and assistant to the junior boys' basketball program.

Audrey coaches three different volley ball teams, badminton, track and field, and she set up a program at her school that caused the school to be recognized provincially and national for Quality Daily Physical Education.

Barry referees basketball and acts as a mentor and always volunteers his time with the athletics in the school.

Beatrice coaches track and field and badminton. She is also involved with Special Olympics Sask as a volunteer coach and team manager.

Matt coaches football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, track and field and badminton. He also is an active official for volleyball, football, and basketball in the school division.

Kyle coaches volleyball and basketball, but mostly is dedicated to improving the school experience for school sports.

Ken is the primary coach in the school as well as principal and athletic director. He has coached volleyball, badminton, and track and field.

Reid coaches the cross country team and he is also the defensive coordinator of the football team. He coaches basketball and also officiates.

All these individuals are applauded for their excellent work in the athletics in the Horizon Division.
