A 31-year-old man from Prince Albert is facing multiple charges following a head-on collision that killed two people in October 2016.
On October 25, 2016, a truck and small passenger bus collided near the intersection of Highway 2 and 16, east of Colonsay, killing two men and injuring another.
David Deagnon was arrested Wednesday morning and is facing nine charges, including:
- Driving while impaired by drugs causing death (two counts)
- Criminal negligence causing death (two counts)
- Dangerous driving causing death (two counts)
- Driving while impaired by drugs causing injury
- Criminal negligence causing injury
- Dangerous driving causing injury
The two men - aged 60 and 69 - died at the scene, while a 74-year-old man was taken to hospital with injuries.
Deagnon appeared in Saskatoon Provincial Court for the first time on Wednesday.
