Humboldt City Council met again Monday night with a lighter agenda than the past few meetings.

There wasn't much budget talk unlike the previous trio of times they have gathered but they did accomplish a number of items in their 60 minute session.

A large part of the agenda was a "discretionary use" application for the address of 1212 12th Street, better known as the convent in north Humboldt that is being redevoloped buy Saskatoon proprietor Tyler Stewart. The application for a multi-unit dwelling, residential care facility type II and a day care centre was approved.

Speaking of homes and properties, the city used over $18,000 to purchase two lots from Saskatoon based Habitat for Humanity with the hopes of having a build again in the future, Humboldt built a duplex four years ago for two families through the program.

Mayor Rob Muench also proclaimed the week of April 3rd-9th as 'Dance Week' coinciding with the annual On Stage festival that attracts over 1,000 dancers to the city.

Following the meeting Muench headed back to Saskatoon for the annual Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities convention, Premier Brad Wall is expected to speak to delegates there on Tuesday.
