Break out the sun screen and flip flops, we're in for a hot, humid week in Humboldt.

Temperatures for mid-week will reach into the 30 degree mark with the humidex pushing the summer afternoons to the mid-30's.

"The humidex will be up in the mid-30 mark and even on Wednesday our forecasted high is for 31," said John Paul Cragg with Environment Canada.

He added that of course, with high temperatures, the mixture could always be there for thunderstorms.

"Chance of thunderstorms overnight Tuesday and Wednesday morning, but other than that, temperatures are really going to soar."

Despite a relative dry spell throughout most of the summer, Humboldt hasn't hit 30 degrees since June 9 - the only time it has happened this year.
