A 25-year-old man is facing multiple charges following a stabbing on the Yellow Quill First Nation.

Greenwater RCMP say Corey Peequaquat was arrested without incident on March 31.

He is charged with:

  • Aggravated Assault
  • Unlawfully Causing Bodily Harm
  • Uttering Threats (2 counts)
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
  • Forcible Confinement
  • Failing to Comply with Probation (3 counts)

Police say the stabbing occurred on March 25, leaving a 16-year-old with severe injuries. He was taken to hospital in Kelvington before being transported to Saskatoon.

Peequaquat has remained in custody, and will appear in Rose Valley Provincial Court on Wednesday.
