After three days of jury deliberation from an eight day trial that began on May 24, a Wakaw man and his mistress have been found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder.

Curtis Vey and Angela Nicholson have both been found guilty on two counts to murder their spouses, Brigitte Vey and Jim Taylor.

The jury, who doesn't provide reasons for it's verdict, made the decision just before 5:30pm on Sunday.

In July of 2013, Brigitte Vey secretly recorded her husband and Nicholson having a conversation at Vey's home as they developed a murder plot.

During the trial, video interviews with police were played in court, where Vey said he was aware they were being recorded, and they knowingly created the plot as a way to show how his family didn't trust him.

Sentencing is still to come.
