Artists from the ages of 12 - 17 learned the basic skills of how to create a colourful acrylic painting. 

Katherine Harrison with the museum says they are looking to develop younger artists in the community.

"so a youth gallery membership is only 15 dollars for the year, and that basically allows youth to submit their work to the show and sale, so they get to be shown in our gallery space."

Painting FUNdamentals was held on Wednesday, July 25th at the Humboldt and District Gallery.
