The Humboldt Broncos had a solid showing on Wednesday night against the Klippers, downing Kindersley 6-2. The Broncos spread the scoring around with 6 different skaters hitting the back of the neck. The offense was wound up with 51 shots on net, while Broncos’ goalie Benjamin Motew turned aside 27 of 29.

Matthew Van Blaricom started things off early off a pass from Carsten Kayter just 4 minutes in. Alec Saretsky combined with Cage Newans on the power play to put one home a little past the midway mark of the first frame. Adam Paplawski drew the first marker for Kindersley near the end of the period.

Bronco Jacob Boucher notched the only goal of the second.

Captain Ethan Zielke went back to work in the third, thanks to an assist from Chase Cooke, for a short hander. The Klippers second and final goal of the evening was courtesy of Matthew Mazzocchi. Last words went to the Broncos thanks to Lucas Ceccarelli from Newaman and Daylan Weigel in the dying minutes of the game.

There’s little time to regroup for the horsemen. They’re back on the ice Friday night at 7:30 for the opener of a home and home against the league leading Battlefords North Stars. Head down to the EPA on Friday for exciting SJHL action, and tune into the play call on 107.5 Bolt FM.
