The Marysburg Royals continue to be the cream of the crop in the Saskatoon Senior Baseball League.

The Royals hosted the Saskatoon Stallions on Sunday, August 9 for a doubleheader of games.

Nick Anderson pitched his way to a complete-game win in game one, leading the Royals to a 14-4 victory. Micheal Rueve then followed that up with a complete-game performance himself, en route to a 14-3 Royals win.

Brody Frerichs hit two home runs on the night, while Brett Doepker and Nolan Machibroda each added a longball.

The victories improve the Royals record to 11-2, good for 22 points on the year. They currently sit 8 points up on the second place Saskatoon Outlaws.

The top two teams in the Saskatoon Senior Baseball League will meet twice this week, with the Royals and Outlaws squaring off on August 11 and 13.
