Shawn Setyo has a degree in international studies and a minor in political science from the University of Saskatchewan.

He joined the Green Party in 2007 and is the hopeful for the Moose Jaw-Lake Centre-Lanigan riding in the October 19th federal election.

Setyo talked about the issues he is most focused on.

"Rising costs of education and the Green Party plans to make education subsidized by 2020 and the other one is the rising cost of housing and that's when our dividends plan would come into place and the last one would be seniors care."

Setyo gave us his opinion on the current state of Canada and Saskatchewan, "I would say there is a clear divide in the way Canadians are thinking right now, I think a lot of the small Conservatives are disenfranchised in the way Harper is running the country and I think this election will see a big shift towards I'd say the lat in Saskatchewan as well as the rest of the country."

He says the Green Party will propose a proportional representation for a more even voice in the House of Commons.

Also in the Moose Jaw-Lake Centre-Lanigan riding are Conservative Tom Lukiwski, NDP Dustin Hlady, Perry Juttla of the Liberals, and Rhinocerous Party's Robert Thomas.
