The Critical Care on the Air Radiothon for STARS exceeded their $350,000 goal yesterday.

The final tally sat at $430,878 and is all going to keeping STARS running in Saskatchewan, bringing critical care when residents are in need.

Jeri-Lynn Johnston, executive director of fundraising for the STARS Foundation, thanked everyone for their support. “Throughout the two days, the Saskatchewan community has tuned in to hear courageous and generous stories from Very Important Patients, members of the STARS flight crew, community allies, and many more.”

“Thanks to all of you, we will continue to explore industry-leading innovations, provide the highest-quality training, and deliver the best possible outcomes for our patients.”

STARS requires approximately $20 million in annual operating funds, with half of that coming from the provincial government, and the other half coming from donors.

This was the fourth year of the radiothon.
