RCMP has provided an update and says the suspect was located with the assistance of Police Dog Services and officers from Craik, Watrous, Lumsden, and Traffic Services.

The stolen vehicle has also been recovered.

RCMP is on the lookout for a suspect walking on Highway 2 north of Penzance trying to flag down a ride. 

RCMP says the suspect is wearing a black Adidas tracksuit, has neck tattoos, and is about 6’1”. 

Officers from Craik and Watrous are en route to find the suspect and warn everyone to not pick up the suspect. 

RCMP as everyone to keep an eye out for a stolen white 2009 Dodge 2500 truck with Manitoba plate KZW783. 

RCMP report that the truck has no tailgate and has assorted pieces of wood in the truck bed along with a metal headache rack

“Vehicle was driving erratically on Hwy 11 near Lumsden and located north of Lumsden by officers, but the suspect fled from officers. The last sighting was near Chamberlain at 1715 hrs by a motorist,” said RCMP in the release. 

Craik RCMP patrolled Highway 11, but have not been able to locate the suspect. 

“It is likely suspect has turned off Hwy 11. One male suspect driver with tattoos on his face was observed. If you see this vehicle, call 310-RCMP or 911 in an emergency and report its location.”
