Jay Eichorst say's he was breathe taken after he got the notification when he made the Saskatchewan U16 Volleyball Team.

"It was just a good moment, just all the hard work I did, and everyone who helped me get there, it was just finally paying and it felt really good."

Eichorst is only in grade ten and has taken part in many other volleyball camps including with Saskatchewan Huskies.

The Team will make its way to Richmond, British Columbia this upcoming Wednesday for the Canada Cup.

Eichorst feels this opportunity would help out his career in volleyball.

"It's a really good experience to bring to my club and my school team in the next season."

The young athlete has played volleyball since he was grade seven and will never lose a passion for the sport.

"The first time I touched the ball. I just got that feeling and I've put the ball down and it's just muscle memory for me to grab a ball and play."
