A big night for Chase Sylvestre at the plate as the East Central AAA 18U Red Sox locked up a win against the Saskatoon Astros at James Korte Field on Thursday evening.

Sylvestre powered a second inning grand slam following an early run by the Astros, launching the Red Sox into a healthy lead.

The pitchers went on lockdown for the next three innings. In the sixth, Sylvestre was back up with a single to score another run.

Along with Sylvester, Jarret Rude and Carter Huls pitched in at the plate together combining for four of the team's seven hits and driving in the seven runs and scoring four themselves.

Pryor Dyck took the win at the plate allowing only 3 hits over six innings.

The Muenster Ball Tournament is this weekend on the fields, so come on out and catch some great action at all age levels.

Next league game for the 18U AAA Red Sox is Wednesday, June 26 when they visit the Sask Five Marlins.
