As of 8 p.m. Tuesday night Saskatoon firefighters were still on the scene of a grass fire. Crews are looking for fire extension and putting out hot spots.

The fire is east on Hwy 16 and south on Range Road 3041, approximately 25 kilometres southeast of Saskatoon.

The Saskatoon Fire Department responded to the fire over the noon hour on Tuesday and say it is a controlled burn that had gotten out of control. Upon arrival the fire was estimated to be 200 hectares in size.
